This is no joke here people. This right here is an actual billboard made by the hub (a children's channel) for the hit show My Little Pony Friendship is Magic in the same style and format as the hit Rated R comedy Bridesmaids.
Though I look at this I actually understand why this was made. The new My Little Pony Friendship is Magic has become a fan base for not only it target audience, which are girls between the ages of 6 to 10 maybe, but it also has a fan base of both girls and boys of any age. Hence the new internet term Bronies. And Bridesmaids is an R rated movie which makes it look as though it's target audience are women, but form the actual movie poster is says "from the Producers of Superbad, Knocked Up, and 40-year-old Virgin" which are looked at as guy movies.
Regardless of whether or not either of these movies are meant for men or women, I have friends that have watch all of these movies and enjoyed all them both in a guys point of view and a girls point of view. and the same can be said for this cartoon. i believe that the hub were aware of the crazy fan base this show has been getting and wanted to make an advertisement that the old and male fans know about it too in a some-what mature and funny way... or it could just be that they wanted to be ironic.
i actually look at this as art because it made me think. Not only dose it make me laugh seeing cutesy characters look like that there in the hood or something. but it made me think of the parallel fandom of both this cartoon and the movie that the billboard is portraying.
Dose anyone else find it scary that four of the ponies are standing?
